What is New Futures Organisation?

New Futures Organisation is a not-for-profit organisation based in the town of Takeo in southern Cambodia. NFO runs an orphanage which cares for more than 50 children whose parents have either died or are unable to care for them. 

In addition, New Futures' education centre aims to teach these children and others from the local area a range of skills which they can use to improve their future employment and career prospects. The centre, completed in 2009, is equipped with a classroom and library, a mechanical workshop, dressmaking workshop and a beauty room where childen can learn about makeup, hairdressing and beauty therapy treatments.

The staff at New Futures look after the health, education, recreation and wellbeing of these children with the aim of providing a safe and secure environment in which to grow up and a good quality of life. 

We work in partnership with local people and other NGOs to provide much-needed care, education, training and opportunities for the young people of the Takeo area.

NFO is committed to improving living conditions for the children at the orphanage by building new facilities which will enhance their quality of life. 

We also run a network of free schools and education projects in nearby villages, many of which are extremely rural and difficult to access, especially in the wet season. These schools offer free education to local children, creating greater opportunities for the young people of the Takeo region.
